2048 Solitaire
ONE MOVE DEFINES THE COMBO BONUS
In 2048 Solitaire, there is a score challenge to build many merges into a single placement. Numbered cards stack in columns. Matching values combine into a card worth twice as much, allowing smaller numbers to develop into larger ones. Consecutive merges during the same move increase that move's score multiplier. The bonus resets with the next drag, so arranging a chain within one placement matters more for the multiplier than spreading those merges across separate moves.
Drag Cards Into Chosen Columns
Use your mouse to drag the card at the lower edge into the column where you want to place it. When it meets a matching number, the two cards automatically combine into one with double the value. Inspect the existing stacks before choosing a destination. A matching card in a column may result in an immediate merging and the arrangement of its neighbors will determine if that outcome can merge again in the same move.
How Do Cards Reach Higher Values
The aim of 2048 Solitaire is to build up numbers, trying to reach a card with a value of 2048. So the earlier ones are basically just setting things up to be combined later. In each doubling you are combining like values. Columns also have limited room as their stacks grow toward a boundary. Placing cards without creating matches uses that space, so consider both the next merge and the room left for future cards.
AFTER THE CARDS FINISH COMBINING
This column puzzle connects placement, repeated doubling, and a multiplier that applies to the current move. A useful destination can advance the number target while also setting off several scoring merges.
Arrange a series of matching cards in 2048 Solitaire before you place your next card to get a bigger combination bonus.
